Inside Dion’s $1.2M mansion where she lives in ‘pain’ of illness

Celine Dion, the Queen of Power Ballads, is facing the challenges of a rare debilitating medical condition called Stiff Person Syndrome. In a recent interview, her sister Claudette Dion revealed that Celine is doing everything to recover, describing her as a strong woman. However, the family remains largely unaware of the details surrounding Celine’s condition, and there’s limited they can do to alleviate her pain.

Claudette, at 74, detailed the symptoms of the illness, comparing the spasms Celine experiences to uncontrollable nighttime leg cramps. Celine Dion, in a heartfelt video in December 2022, informed fans about her diagnosis, expressing how the spasms affected her daily life, making walking challenging and impacting her vocal cords.

The Grammy Award winner, who grew up in a large musical family, had to cancel plans for concerts and put her Courage world tour on hold. Currently based in Las Vegas, she is reportedly being cared for by a dedicated team of doctors and a sports-medicine therapist to regain her strength.

Living in a 1.5-acre home in Henderson, Nevada, with her three sons, René-Charles, Eddy, and Nelson, Celine’s residences have been a topic of interest. Previously owning a waterpark estate inspired by the Bahamas, she later sold it for $38.5 million after relocating to Las Vegas for her residency in 2005.

Celine’s current home, purchased in 2003 for $1.2 million, underwent renovations and features four bedrooms, six bathrooms, and three fireplaces. The property spans over 8,100 square feet and sits on an acre of land. Amid the pandemic, glimpses inside her home revealed a white-themed kitchen and another room adorned with white leather furniture and candles.

The global superstar has been involved in real estate dealings, selling a Las Vegas property in April 2023 for $30 million, which she bought in 2017 for $9.2 million. The 31,000-square-foot mansion with four bedrooms, twelve bathrooms, an underground garage, and a massive swimming pool showcased Celine’s flair for luxury.

Throughout her career, Celine Dion has not only achieved immense success as a singer but also pioneered the concept of residencies in Las Vegas. Starting at Caesar’s Palace with “A New Day,” she earned a reported $500,000 per show, making her one of the highest-earning entertainers during her residency.

Despite facing health challenges, Celine remains an iconic figure in the music industry, with a remarkable legacy of hit songs and accolades. As she battles Stiff Person Syndrome, her strength and resilience continue to inspire fans worldwide.
