Zandie’s testimony unveils chilling details of Meyiwa’s tragic night
Zandie Khumalo, a key witness in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial, testified at the Pretoria High Court, providing a harrowing account of the tragic night that led to the goalkeeper’s death. Zandie, who was close to Meyiwa through her sister Kelly Khumalo, narrated the events leading up to the incident on October 26, 2014.

On that day, Zandie, Meyiwa, Kelly, and others planned to attend a party but ended up at the Khumalo household. In the evening, armed intruders forcibly entered the house, leading to a terrifying struggle. During the chaos, Meyiwa hid with Kelly and their mother, while Zandie tried to defend herself and the group.

Zandie witnessed Meyiwa’s injuries and attempted to seek help, eventually calling for emergency services. Despite their efforts, Meyiwa’s condition was critical, and he was rushed to the hospital, where he later passed away. The trial is ongoing, and Zandie’s emotional testimony shed light on the tragic events of that fateful night.
