Riky Rick passed away exactly half a year ago, and his family discussed how they have been grieving since then. Bianca Naidoo gives an interview to SABC News in which she discusses how she is adjusting to life without Boss Zonke and the parting words he gave her.
Bianca finds that some days are easier than others, but having her kids and her support system keeps her going.
It’s true that some days are simpler than others. I am able to get through it because I have such an incredible support system around me, and the kids also provide me with a lot of strength. She explained, “On the days that I am not okay, I give myself permission to be not okay.”
According to what she stated, she was straightforward and honest with the children right from the start. She was transparent about the circumstances surrounding his passing, and they hardly ever inquire about it.
“I was quite frank from the beginning, from day one, about what happened to dad. When I am around youngsters, I not only talk to them but also listen to them. Now that they have gained the confidence to express themselves, they each process things in their own unique way. They are aware that, should they have any questions, they are welcome to come and ask them as well as discuss the matter, and I believe that both of them are there. It is simply a matter of me being truthful,” she went on to say.
The days that are the most challenging for Bianca are Father’s Day and Ricky’s birthday.
She stated that they had a lengthy conversation about life, their children, and virtually everything else the Sunday before he took his own life.
“On Sunday, we engaged in conversation for close to five hours. The most lovely talk about everything; just life; us; the kids; how he felt; just everything; the kids; us; just everything. Due to the fact that all of my questions and concerns were addressed during our meeting, I now feel a great deal more at ease.
Early in the morning, I also had a conversation with Ricky. Because his final words in the discussion were, “I’m going home,” and “I love you,” I never imagined or felt anything like that.
Bianca wrapped off her speech by expressing that she hopes Riky is aware that he is loved and that he is missed. “He was aware of the depth of our affection for him. I thought that was extremely apparent. I would repeat the statement numerous times. I believe it to be true; it’s simply that we miss him so much.”
According to Sunday World, Bianca is reportedly interested in purchasing the rapper’s estate. The pair never actually got married, but they did have intentions of doing so.
“It was both my goal and the intention of the deceased to have our marriage legally recognized in accordance with the rules of civil law.” Our families did meet during the course of our relationship to have discussions about marriage, and our families did approve of our relationship as that of husband and wife. This has already been stated above. Although our families with the deceased are not traditional, they did meet during the course of our relationship to discuss marriage.
“In addition, as was mentioned earlier, the deceased and I had the intention of being married at some point in the future; nevertheless, the deceased passed away before the solemnization of our marriage could become a reality, despite the fact that we lived our joint lives as a married couple. I have therefore been instructed that I do qualify under the category of a partner ‘in a permanent life partnership in which the partners have assumed reciprocal duties of support’,” read the papers.
