Zakes Bantwini Age

The 26th of April 1981 saw the arrival of Zakes Bantwinin into the world. He is 40 years old at this point.

Early Years of Zakes Bantwini’s Life

The name Zakhele Madida was bestowed upon him at the moment of his birth. He was delivered via caesarean section in KwaMashau, which is located in KwaZulu-Natal. Today, he is better known by his stage name, Zakes Bantwini.

He received his upbringing from both of his parents. Both Jeffrey Khanyile and Nomthandazo Madida are his parents. He was named after his father.

Zakes Bantwini became a father when he was just 12 years old, but he persisted in his education in spite of the fact that he was a father at such a young age.

At one point, his mother was diagnosed with cancer, and he recalled the exact moment when the physician informed him that his mother had only a month left to live, he said that he will never forget that moment.

“They advised us that we should not delay in putting her to rest if we had the financial means to do so at this time because she was in pain. But he would start her on chemotherapy if we did not have the money and if we needed to raise funds in order to do so “He thought about it.

In memory of his mother, Zakes Bantwini runs an annual competition for celebrities called 1Goal4Cancer with the goal of bringing attention to the fight against cancer. It was mentioned by him in the interview that he did with Tshisalive, which stated,

“I honor her every year because I want her legacy to live on and I want people to be educated about the risks associated with cancer,”

Education: Zakes Bantwini.

Mayonie Productions was established by him as a record label back when he was still a student at the university.

“I didn’t want to take my demo tape and try to get signed by a record label because I didn’t want to put myself out there like that. It made perfect sense for me to look for talent, and then, after signing the artist, I would go and negotiate for their deal, all while simultaneously being actively involved in promoting my own artist “says Zakes.

After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), where he received a Diploma in Jazz and Music Performance, Zakes Bantwini pursued further education. In order to further his education, he enrolled in the Social Entrepreneurship Programme at the Gordon Institute of Business Sciences.
