While still a year removed from its 25th anniversary, the Nike Air Max 97 has taken the new year as an opportunity to flex its creative muscles. Its latest proposition doesn’t indulge in sports or love inspired-themes, but instead a black and white color scheme complemented by contrasting rainbow stitching. Mesh and synthetic leather make up the silhouette’s top-half, with the former material appearing closest to the tongue. Vamp overlays deliver an all-black look, but their blue, green, yellow, orange and red detailing contribute much-needed flair to the forthcoming take on Christian Tresser’s design.
