Mampintsha’s Mom Exposes Son, Reveals He Survives On Piece Jobs
South African artist Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo and his family are at loggerheads and recent reports are that they have disowned each other.
This comes after Mampintsha accused his mother Zama Gumede and his sister, Pinki Gumede, of bad-mouthing him to Showmax producers concerning his reality show Uthando Lodumo.
The two recently took to a local publication Daily Sun and complained that they were not paid for appearing on season one of the reality show.
It is alleged that Zama was paid R10 000 for season two and Pinki R5 000.
The two have now decided to leave the show and Zama was quoted saying she will no longer participate in the show unless they give her what she is owed.
Following these allegations, Mampintsha reportedly phoned his family members and disowned them.
“He called and accused me of bad mouthing him to Showmax and the producers. He’s angry that I exposed him. He said he wants nothing to do with us because we’re jealous of his success.
“I don’t care because he doesn’t buy me anything.
“I survive through piece jobs. I’m therefore asking Showmax to delete all the episodes that show my face.”
Pinki said Mampintsha insulted them saying they brought him bad luck and he doesn’t need them in his project.
She said the two are seeking legal advice so that they can demand their money from Showmax.
Mampintsha and his family are not new to drama. Recently, the family reportedly disowned his wife Babes Wodumo, real name Sibongile Simelane, as their Makoti.
They accused Babes Wodumo of ignoring the Zulu tradition.
As quoted by Elegance7, Pinki said the Gumede clan decided to distance themselves from Mampintsha’s wife.
She said they tried to reach out to Babes about this, but she wasn’t interested. She alleged that Babes says her religion does not allow her to perform or observe Zulu tradition.
