Mampintsha’s Doppelgänger Shocks South Africa

South Africans were recently amused by a young graduate who bears a striking resemblance to amapiano artist Kabza de Small. Now, it seems another famous musician has a doppelgänger that locals can’t handle.

A Twitter post featuring a man who looks exactly like the late Durban star Mampintsha has sent shockwaves through his fans, who have jokingly speculated about his “return to life.”

Last December, South Africa mourned the death of Mampintsha Shamora, also known as Mandla Maphumulo, a member of the popular group Big Nuz. The musician passed away after suffering a stroke, leaving behind his wife, Bongekile “Babes” Wodumo, and their one-year-old son, Sponge.

While many are still coping with Mampintsha’s loss, a recent photo shared by Twitter user Collen KM has provided some comfort. The picture shows a man who bears an uncanny resemblance to the late musician, although only a side view is visible. Collen captioned the photo with a question, “Guys, am I seeing things or is it him?”

The post has sparked numerous jokes about Mampintsha and his look-alike. Some have humorously pondered whether he returned for one last night out. One commenter joked, “In heaven’s Kwa Max, I thought the bottle ladies would wear all white.” Additionally, Mzansi residents found humor in Kabza de Small’s graduation, as they playfully compared him to his look-alike.

It appears that South Africa continues to find solace and laughter amidst the resemblance of these individuals to their beloved musicians, even after their untimely departures.
