The actress recently celebrated her birthday, and once she revealed her actual age to her fans and following, they were understandably taken aback.

Connie Chiume shared a couple of her stunning photographs along with the news that she was 70 years old on Instagram, where she also announced her age. Over the last weekend in Cape Town, Connie Chiume’s loved ones gathered together to wish her a happy birthday and celebrate in grand fashion.

“I celebrated my 70th birthday in Cape Town this past weekend, even though it was BELATED!” Thank you to each and every one of my girls for making this event such a smashing success!!!

The photographs that the actress posted on her Instagram account suggest that she had a wonderful birthday celebration, during which she also popped a few bottles of champagne.

“70 has never seemed to feel so well.”
Some of her friends and followers wished her a happy birthday and congratulated her on how lovely she looked; however, when she disclosed her true age, some of her supporters were taken aback and expressed their surprise.

The fact that she is 70 years old is incomprehensible to a lot of people who use social media in Mzansi. At first, I estimated that she was somewhere around 40 years old. Her devotees could not help but be in awe of the way in which she is defying the effects of time.

Connie Chiume is a South African actress who was born on June 5th, 1952. She is of Malawian descent.

Her roles in films such as Black Panther, Soul City, Black Is King, and Zone 14 have helped her gain widespread recognition.
