Jub Jub Threatens To Sue Moja Love

Jub Jub Threatens To Sue Moja Love.South African rapper and TV presenter Jub Jub is reportedly in a legal dispute with Moja Love over his unpaid January salary. The dispute arises from an alleged insult that Jub Jub hurled at his female business partner, Keabetswe Mokoena, in a December WhatsApp exchange. Jub Jub is the host of Mzansi’s controversial cheating show “Uyajola 9/9.”

The incident took place after Jub Jub and Mokoena were hired by the government to organize the Moses Kotane Arts Festival at the Moruleng Stadium, which was supposed to take place from December 3 to 4, 2022.

Jub Jub was accused of verbal abuse, harassment, emotional stress, and “substantial harm to Mokoena’s professional reputation and business.” He denied the claims, stating that the allegations were not true and distancing himself from the matter, citing “brand damage” as the reason.

As a result of the allegations, Moja Love has refused to pay Jub Jub his January salary, with Moja Love CEO Aubrey Tau stating that Jub Jub had violated the channel’s anti-gender-based violence policy.

The channel’s executive stated that Tau is a proponent of anti-gender-based violence and abhors the abuse of women and children, and feels that Jub Jub should be punished severely as a deterrent to future transgressors of the company’s policy.

It is believed that Tau intends to terminate Jub Jub’s contract, according to an executive who wished to remain anonymous for fear of victimization.

However, Jub Jub has escalated the matter with his lawyers, Baloyi-Ntsako Attorneys, who have issued a letter to the channel demanding payment of his January salary. Jub Jub’s contract was signed in March 2022 and expires in March 2023, and he has not yet received his January salary, according to the letter.

Jub Jub’s legal team has accused the channel of operating like a “spaza shop.” The lawyers threatened to take Moja Love to court if they do not comply with the letter. The letter states that a business of Moja Love’s magnitude cannot be run like a spaza shop, and calls the non-payment of Jub Jub’s salary “unfair, unlawful, wrongful conduct and inhumane.”

In conclusion, the legal dispute between Jub Jub and Moja Love highlights the importance of professional conduct and anti-gender-based violence policies in the workplace. It is also a reminder of the importance of due process and the rights of employees, as well as the consequences of violating anti-violence policies.

Whether the dispute will be resolved through legal action remains to be seen, but it serves as a cautionary tale for all parties involved.
