Requirements:

1. Grade 12 qualification.
2. AEA (Ambulance Emergency Assistant) certificate with registration with the current HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South Africa).

4. Valid Code 10 driver’s license.
5. Valid professional driver’s (PrDP) permit for transporting patients.
6. Candidates will be expected to undergo written, driving, and physical assessment tests.

Duties:

1. Provide care for patients within the scope of practice of intermediate life support.
2. Transport patients as part of the planned patient transport and inter-facility transfer system under the Emergency Medical Service.
3. Provide emergency medical care and assistance during special events.
4. Manage Emergency Medical Services resources and ensure proper care and management.

1. Provide emergency medical assistance and perform other duties required by the Directorate.
2. Ensure quality assurance to Basic Life Support Officers in implementing appropriate measures.
3. Perform any other duties delegated by the supervisor.
4. Candidates should be mentally and physically fit to work shifts.
