A letter to heaven: DJ Zinhle writes a letter to AKA. Award-winning DJ Zinhle has broken her silence about the tragic passing of her baby daddy, Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, better known as AKA. The rapper was shot dead on Florida Road in Durban on February 10th and was laid to rest on February 18th in a private funeral ceremony.
Taking to social media, Zinhle expressed her heartbreak over his passing. In a lengthy letter dedicated to AKA, the DJ expressed her heartbreak at AKA being robbed of time to spend with his daughter Kairo Forbes, his family, and his girlfriend Nadia Nakai.

Zinhle and AKA were arguably the most supportive co-parents in South Africa, and never seemed to be bothered by the hate on social media, putting the needs of their daughter ahead of their own. Zinhle said the thought of Kairo asking questions about her father’s death breaks her heart.
In the letter, Zinhle asked AKA and the Almighty to watch over her husband Murdah Bongz and guide them as they raise Kairo together. She recounted the last time she saw AKA and reflected on co-parenting with him, despite criticism.

Zinhle promised to continue doing the best for Kairo and raising her in a safe space. In closing, she wrote, “Good night Kiernan. You told me God is in control, I will hold on to these words as we piece together the pieces of our shattered hearts. We will comfort and love Nadia, she is family now. God bless you.”
DJ ZINHLE ATTACKED FOR ACTING LIKE SHE IS AKA’s FIRST WIFE
In the wake of being dragged for acting like AKA’s first lady, DJ Zinhle’s fans have defended her. Although Zinhle and AKA are no longer together, their co-parenting relationship left many in awe, and Zinhle also had a tight-knit relationship with AKA’s mother, Lynn Forbes.

Zinhle attended AKA’s memorial service on February 18th and sat in the front seat, next to her child Kairo Forbes. In spite of the fact that she sat there to support her child emotionally and physically over the loss of her father, trolls dragged her.

A Twitter user accused Zinhle of acting like AKA’s first lady, and the comment rubbed many people the wrong way who defended Zinhle. DJ Zinhle’s fans have defended her by questioning who was supposed to sit with Kairo.
