A tragic incident struck the family of Uzalo actress Baby Cele, as her cousin Mbuso Cele, grappling with depression, allegedly committed a heart-wrenching act. Mbuso reportedly shot his own mother, Norah Cele (72), and wounded his estranged wife, Zanele (35), before taking his own life. The incident unfolded in Umlazi K section, south of Durban.
Baby Cele, known for her role as Gabisile in the SABC1 telenovela, stressed the gravity of depression and the importance of seeking help. The tragedy occurred on a Sunday afternoon when Mbuso opened fire on his mother and wife, visibly in the presence of neighbors. His body was discovered the following day in his car in Amanzimtoti.
