Zandie Gumede has stated that she will be speaking with the police on the possibility of testifying in the next trial of Senzo Meyiwa, which is scheduled to resume on November 14.
She revealed the news on Wednesday via Instagram that police had called her to discuss the murder of Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa and the possibility of her being the next witness to testify in the trial. Meyiwa was the goalkeeper for Bafana Bafana.
She added that her strength comes from her marriage to Mhlonishwa Gumede, and she regarded him as being her source.
“The greatest father in the world, the one who makes things happen but doesn’t mind playing the ‘behind the scenes’ role at any time. My “Mr. Calm,” the one who tells me “Don’t worry baby,” and “everything will work out.”
I addressed him as “Brigadier so and so called” the day before yesterday. They want to talk to me about the SM case when they come to my house on Thursday, and they want to consult with me because they want me to testify about it. After he uttered “Abeze phela” in a collected manner, I immediately felt at ease. My sincere gratitude goes out to you, Myeni Wami; you are truly my inspiration and motivation.
Zandie Gumede has given her account of the events that transpired on the evening of Meyiwa’s passing in public.
Zandie Khumalo broke her silence in an exclusive interview with eNCA in the month of July, after her sister Kelly Khumalo had previously done a tell-all interview with the station earlier in the same month.
“On the way to the hospital, it was I who sat in the back of the car with Senzo and applied pressure to the wound. Even as we were driving to the hospital, I could tell that he was getting chilled from the bottom up… She continued her story by saying, “I was busy talking to him the whole way, trying to keep him alive but tragically…”
Zandie Khumalo opens up about the fight that tore apart their sistership in this frank interview.
The third and final season of Life with Kelly Khumalo came to a dramatic close for the Khumalo family when they were eventually brought back together and sat down together for the first time after their highly publicized breakup.
In the last episode of the season, we saw the Khumalo sisters participating in a counseling session.
During an interview with Showmax, Zandie disclosed that she and her sister had begun the process of repairing their relationship prior to seeking the assistance of a trained professional.
“I was at a loss for words as to how to respond. She added, “I guess the aspect of therapy that made me uneasy was the fact that we were working together.”
“No matter what the outcome is, we had better have everything figured out by the time we left the room.” She explained her intentions to go into therapy by saying that it had been a difficult burden to bear for such a long period of time. “It’s been a heavy load to carry all this time.”
“If there is one thing that I can say with absolute certainty about my family, it is that we are not the kind of people who harbor resentment for an extended period of time, and I acquired that trait from my mother. You can make my mother angry right now, but in two minutes from now it will be forgotten and we will have moved on.
After Kelly issued a statement distancing herself from a scheme in which Zandie’s husband Mhlo Gumede was allegedly involved, their breakup as sisters became widely known and received a great deal of media attention.
In response to the charges, Zandie wrote a lengthy post on Instagram in which she said that she and her sister were “divorcing.”
“If I was divorcing my husband, maybe it would have been a little bit easier and lighter, but I am separating from a person I have known for my entire life and have shared laughs, pain, excitement, and disappointment with my entire life, my sister,” Zandie wrote in her letter. “I am separating from a person I have known for my entire life and have shared laughs, pain, excitement, and disappointment with my entire life.”
Kelly has confirmed that she and Zandie have put their differences behind them and are once again a part of each other’s lives. Earlier this year, on her reality show, Kelly had hinted at a possible reconciliation between the two of them.
During her time as a guest on Kaya 959 with Sol Phenduka and Dineo Ranaka, Kelly declared that she and her sister are no longer at odds with one another.
“We are good. Actually, we are doing rather well. I believe that taking that short break was necessary for us. You know, when you are so close to another to the point where you lose self-identity, which is a dangerous thing for an individual, so I now feel like we needed that. You know what I’m talking about. She had to discover who she was apart from me, and I had to discover who I was apart from her.
