One of such is Mandla Maphumulo, a South African based music producer popularly known as Mampintsha. The 39 years old music producer now earns a net worth of about $450 000 and his alcohol and clothing brands seem to secure him with quite a promising future.

Like any other road to success Mandla Maphumulo ‘s journey in the music industry was a bit bummpy, as it took him a while to gain popularity and fame.

In 2002, he moved from Umlazi, KwaZulu-Natal (his home town) to Johannesburg – where he created the famous kwaito group Big Nuz together with Mzi Tshomela, and the late Sbu Khomo (friends he knew from Umlazi), and later to Durban where the Big Nuz got an invitation from Gallo Records in 2004.

The album saw Big Nuz receiving the Metro FM award for Best Kwaito with their song being nominated at the 2008 Channel O Awards, and also, a track in the album titled Uyoysholo Wena was the Song of The Year at 2008 SAMA.

Since then the group became popular in South Africa with albums like Undisputed, Umlilo, Pound for Pound (2011), Made in Africa (2015) and For the Fans which they had dedicated to the late R Mashesha (one of the band members).

Mampintsha’s passion, dedication and resilience pushed him further as later in 2018 he opened his own record label “West Ink Entertainment” and dropped his solo studio album titled Gentle Don EP. The record label has been generating a lot of money for the star through gigs and a lot of promotions.
